Katie is a passionate exercise physiologist who truly believes that movement is medicine. Katie takes a patient cantered approach to exercise rehabilitation and works to restore full function and movement to enable her clients to reach their personal goals – whatever they may be. Katie understands that no two clients are the same, and works to provide an exercise program to meet the needs of each individual, to enable them to get back to work, on the sporting field, living pain free or just moving and enjoying life more.
Katie works hard to empower individuals to take control of their own health, and looks to engage clients in the rehabilitation process, knowing that when clients have the tools and strategies to manage their own health, they are more likely to achieve long lasting success.
Katie has experience working in the private sports medicine sector, in outpatient hospital rehabilitation (post surgery and acute injuries), In specialised neurological rehabilitation clinics and in seniors rehabilitation. Katie loves to work with clients of all ages and a range of conditions.
Katie has experience as a professional athlete in the AFLW and Australian Rugby 7s and understands first hand the nature of athletic injuries, the importance of injury prevention and the requirements of a successful return to sport.
Katie uses thorough movement and mobility assessments and screening tools, strength testing and clinical history to ensure a holistic and evidence based approach to improving function, performance and quality of life.
